Hello, voyager! I'm Hel (she/they), an indie sci-fi and fantasy writer, reader, astrophysicist, cat parent, lover of all kinds of storytelling, hot comfort beverages, and a universe full of stars. 

I write hopeful, character-driven sci-fi and fantasy centering found families, traumatized adults finding agency and community, and of course, fun (and dangerous) magic and/or technology. I published my debut space opera, Skylark in the Fog, in 2022, then the first in a dark fantasy duology, Imbued, in 2024! ✨
